Playboy magazine darling (and one-time playmate of Hugh Hefner) BARBI BENTON is Naughty Cheerleader Lynne Keefe, a small-town, small-brained babe who gets caught up big-time in the sex business. As a high school cheerleader who can really twirl a baton back in hometown Scranton, Lynne gets knocked up by a horny hunk on a motorcycle who then dumps her, sending her into a sexual spiral that takes her to the Catskills, to Boston, New York, Miami, and Rome.
All the way, adorable little Lynne gets screwed, in more ways than one, by the men she hooks up with. She witnesses an attempted murder, sleeps with gangsters, and participates in blackmailing a record d.j.
She’s also balled by bellhop ED BEGLEY JR., "banged on the bus to Boston" by navy admiral LIONEL STANDER, and buggered by the son of oil magnate BRODERICK CRAWFORD -- all before she falls into the clutches of Cuban con-man KLAUS KINSKI (!) who pimps her off as Miss Luxembourg at a Miss Universe contest to men who’ll pay for the privilege of sex with a beauty queen. When the scam is uncovered, they hightail it to Italy where Klaus panders her in Rome to various movie producers and directors.
Eventually, she meets and falls in love with a tall, dark, handsome Italian named Gino whose family disinherits him when they get married. Gino gambles away what money they have saved so the two of them make ends meet by selling sexual favors to the rich and famous. As the title tune asks, "How did a nice girl like you get misled?"
A nostalgic romp from a more innocent day, The Naughty Cheerleader captures the carefree spirit of the ’70s with high style and heavy doses of Playboy-like humor.
